What to expect from Tech4Africa this year...

We're really excited to be running the first Tech4Africa with almost 60% speaker content submitted through the local Tech community. It's been a long term goal, and this year we're proud to be making it real:

Come and join us at the tech event where we aim to engage, enable, inspire and innovate - through great seat of your pants content (remember Herman and Alan Knott-Craig?), inspiring stories (looking forward to the story of Robohand?) and awesome networking.

This year we had over 90 speaker submissions, and over 3000 votes - so we're proud to bring you a fantastic blend of local speaker sessions mixed with international experience and perspective.

Delegates are free to roam all sessions and dip and and out of sessions as they like. There will be a constant stream of coffee on tap, and we're expecting the pace to be frenetic.

Get $200 worth of Cloud Hosting vouchers FREE, only in the Cloud sessions and at the Dimension Data Expo stand.

Dimension Data are offering all delegates FREE vouchers for their local latency cloud hosting platform. By now you should have worked out that the value of the vouchers is as much as the tickets to Tech4Africa!

Win R20k at the Nedbank developer challenge: Build an eCommerce enabled app for the retail market.

Nedbank are offering R20k of prizes to developers who can get up and running with an eCommerce app for retail, using their API's. It's a great challenge, and an even better market to go after, so we're looking forward to seeing what developers cook up during Tech4Africa.

Attendance to the eCommerce stream is FREE if you're just looking to hack on the API's - but will be limited to the eCommerce stream only.

Please forward to your colleagues, teams, freelancers, or anyone in your networks who is interested in tech in Africa.

If your company would like to get involved and sponsor beer, pizza, red bull, coffee, snacks, T-Shirts or stickers for developers, then please get in touch. We also have an event goody bag for all sorts of schwag.
