The story of Over, one of the world’s most popular photo editing apps.
Aaron is the founder and designer of Over, one of the world’s most popular photo editing apps. Shortly after Over’s explosive growth, Aaron moved his family and the company to Cape Town. They are now a team of six, building tools and marketplaces for mobile creatives. They plan to do for mobile what Adobe did for the desktop.

Scaling your e-commerce infrastructure as you go - using Magento and AWS as an example.

Or, how to make your e-commerce webpages load in 9ms.
Applies to anyone.

I will go through the thought-processes needed to start an AWS/cloud buildout, starting from a traditional Magento e-commerce architecture (where are the bottlenecks, what does it mean to go to the cloud etc) and introduce systems for automation and documentation for easy reproduction. I will give examples of different AWS/cloud service possibilities and how the audience would benefit from using them (to lower TCO, to increase speed etc) and discuss which architectural decisions have to made in order for an e-commerce system to offer true scalability.
